Sony Alpha A200K 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with Super SteadyShot Image Stabilization with 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens

September 11th, 2009

Sony has come true. This will not be a technical examination, what I feel are the strengths and weaknesses of this camera.

This is a great camera for beginners to learn a reflex, but not too bad for those of you who know what they are doing. I myself have had film SLR for many years, this is my first DSLR and the cost was a factor for me. I am in no way the funds so that the price really sold me (no pun). The features you would expect from an SLR are there, and you can switch between full auto and full manual all the points in half at the touch of a switch and pressing a few buttons to set the stroke.

Built in image stabilization is a great feature to have, especially when some camera makers build in the lens, which, in turn, makes your target price considerably higher.

Some people complain of not seeing live on the LCD screen, but I personally prefer not to see live. Some life-saving battery and makes you feel more of a real camera and less than a point and shoot. If you want to see live, wait for the A300K

The camera feels strong and not too big or small. My hands are very large and the camera feels good in my hands. It is mostly plastic, that somehow you can feel a bit ‘cheap, but can not be a problem at this time.
ISO setting is great. If you want to shoot in low light conditions with settings up to ISO 3200 with noise reduction is assumed, but have not checked that out yet. Personally, I was set to 100 and kept there for the least amount of noise.

Media options are GREAT! Sony MemoryStick are ridiculous Caros. Especially when you need a high capacity of these large photos (especially shooting in RAW). Fortunately, this camera accepts CompactFlash cards, which are among the cheapest you can get. (I have mine here on Amazon than 4GB for $ 42).
All that you have a problem with this camera is that you must pay an extra $ 12 for an LCD screen protector (plastic cover for the LCD). Some camera manufacturers include this with your SLR. Sony should have included this.

But do not forget the accessories. It will be nice to get the 70 mm-300mm (which I for $ 229) for those who are far and macro photos. Screen Saver is $ 12. The memory can vary the amount you receive. I also bought a tripod / monopod for $ 40.

So that’s it. With this camera takes very good pictures in high resolution and at a reasonable price. There are a few drops in the design, and a lot of interesting features. I hope this helps with your decision.

Mitsubishi WD-60735 60-Inch 1080p DLP HDTV

September 11th, 2009

My brother has the 73 “version of this TV, and I am very impressed by this. Having a little room ‘less, I decided to go with 60″ as well as for economic reasons.

This type of display is unique, because if you go into a shop and watch in broad daylight, in a brightly lit store, with all LCD and Plazma, one might think that no one wants a TV like this. It was so brilliant, that is “softer”. Once you get one of these at home, and these other screens too bright obscuring his view, the display is a DLP than an LCD or Plazma Flickery Hotwax looking for. The picture is so natural and smooth, it’s incredible. The colors are so insistent on this, is amazing. And I think, while a DLP is not as bright, which makes it much more pleasant to work in dark corners to be an LCD.

I see no brighter in this TV as I do on the LCD. I am a little ’sensitive to this and watch one of my films of Bray, in a friend’s house on a 52 “LCD PS3 player, I can honestly say, no hint of remorse buyers disappeared when I saw your new presentation. (That cost more than twice as much btw). Tonight is actually to play its PS3 on my TV, so we’ll see how it works.’m interested to see if there are variations on my television with him. I use a PC for home theater playback, and DVI-HDMI for the video. I have no problem. I think I prefer the color rendition of the PC better than independent players.

In the long term (marathon movie sessions) on this screen is not hard at all, in my eyes, like other screens much brighter. Very short periods of looking at an LCD screen gives me serious eye strain. Not to mention, are so small! By Plazma especially, I find myself spending more time watching television, the movies you play in it. With DLP technology, which is like after the first few seconds, the TV is not there and everything you see is the image. I think more like being in the film, rather than outside it. It ‘hard to explain and not seen in a store.

Cons:
This type of screen has been reduced viewing angle in front of an LCD or Plazma. This is a great choice for serious lit rooms or outside of the angle of vision. It is also sensitive to changes in vertical angle, even more than from side to side. Height is a critical factor when you see this type of screen, if you are very close, that I am in my setup. I can see from just 9.10 meters. Even at that distance, I can clearly see the change in brightness when seated in front of the foot. This is not a problem for me, because I do not care. I like the big screen.

If my 9-10feet seems too close, it is not. I know that I could easily enjoy a 100 “screen at this distance. Television is not too large.

While you are away from television, since the height will not be a problem. As a game, it is important to establish the right height for your viewing position if you want the image more vibrant. The 735 series does not have HDMI front, although I do not care about my situation. If this is a must for you, go to 736 or higher.

As a PC screen, I like this TV, but there are some disadvantages that should be addreses with the drivers for your video card if it is really annoying to fill the edges of the screen perfectly. Some setup is required. It ‘annoying, but it is a bit’ difficult, without visiting some forums and ask people how to configure things. This is not a matter of real TV. Use of the PC monitor, in fact, I do not think a screen is perfect. To read the text smaller, not only likely that someone will use its LCD, DLP or Plazma for this purpose. And as in every case. Television is too far to see the text. Corro 120dpi in Windows, and 150% of the text in the browser. How is usable. Still would not say that is ideal for a long period of daily use.

Other thoughts:

PC / Console Gaming on this thing is simply exceptional. Do not forget, with a DLP, you get to buy wireless LCD and games like Call of Duty4 in 3D. These are not the red / blue filter glasses, they are active and actually have a television interface. This is a great advantage compared to the Samsung and Mitsubishi DLP TV. Moreover, the fact that the DLP does not “burn” is another advantage.

Performing an all black screen in Windows I have been told is a problem because it is sending all the power of the lamp-light landfill instead of the screen. I do not know if this causes a heat or not, but I tend to keep showing a light color all the time, to keep the heat to a minimum.

Since I am primarily an observer of the film, PC game, all other aspects of the TV are quite secondary to me. For those who complain about the possibility of need a new bulb, or becomes a matter of costs over time, I say. First, at this time, directly from MITS, a new bulb for less than $ 100. If I bought 10 spare parts for this day, have even less money in my TV that my friend is its LCD screen that is almost a foot smaller. Also, I genuinly like mine better. Lamps for these are not the $ 250 units that were for years ago. My brother had his final projection TV for 10 years and never put a light bulb in his unit is now more than 2,000 hours and is still brand new. If it cost $ 100 a year to maintain this TV as fresh and new, then so be it. Maintaining a spare bulb on hand is probably a good idea if you need a vision of a few days can be a problem.

Final thought. If I had to be forced to choose a screen and type to replace this unit at this time would be a DLP front projector. I am very happy with this television, almost secretly hope he dies just out of warranty, so you can justify getting a projector. Even if not, also have a projector within the next 2 years. I never imagined that after a month of view, this TV would be small enough that you want to 4 times something of this size. Especially in the home rather small, and small rooms that I have to do in 25 years to make purchases from home, have never been so happy with the purchase of consumer electronics, as I am with this.

Toshiba 42 XV Review

August 31st, 2009

Previous speakers, I can not agree in every respect. The Toshiba 42 “XV635D hours for about 2 weeks and I could test it extensively. After a long search in various forums and reviews on XV635D was my decision, because everything you’ve dreamed of as normal consumers. Ultimately, I was decided that LCD TV for DVB-C, Full HD, 24p, 4xHDMI connections and reviews in the correct forum / test. I was not disappointed!
Just over € 800, – on Amazon, with free delivery perfect at this time there was no similar agreement better.

After I had unpacked the LCD TV, everything went pretty hard. Stable base set screw (screws + Imbus included) and connect to a TV -> 5 minutes. Directly connected to the Xbox 360 and gehts ab. Spectacular scenery and a flat screen for a good sound. Who wants to come to a surround sound system never around when the current state of TV. However, hand me the perfect quality. The image, I can say without streaking, no catch. Everything runs smoothly.
Then I tried the tuner DVB-C. CI module, an auction, the paper reingepackt Unity Media and connected the cable. Unfortunately, the channel scan takes 1-2 hours, then you can enjoy the TV program, if you do something sensible;) Eindwandfreies photos! Again, no streaking, pixel errors or other weaknesses. Black level very well!
Thirdly, I tried my DVD player via HDMI connection. Perfect picture! Everything your heart desires. You get their costs. I look forward to a Blu-ray, where you can highlight the strengths of the TV re-established.
Very well, I also think the USB port on the side of the TV. There I connected my external 2.5 “HDD. By clicking on the” fast “button, you can select the media player and can play both pictures, movies or music. All this without any problems and any delay.
Finally, I can say:

+ Handling around the remote control (Clearly, the above menu)
+ 4x HDMI
+ USB
+ DVB-C
+ Full HD
+ 24p
Good + Panel
Price +
+ Just reflections caused by light

- Back cover a bit ‘unstable, but still no problem to bring the TV to the wall. For me hanging on the wall.

SLR-Camera Review

August 31st, 2009

First one thing: this review is in 1st Line of SLR beginners and experienced photographers not yet addressed, which were previously satisfied with the conventional cameras, but are looking for new challenges.

My experience is limited to three small format cameras (currently Fujifilm Finepix F11), as well as I have for nearly two weeks had a Nikon D80 in possession, but gave them back, because the sensitivity of dust here (especially must have been) something of an exception, also appeared at the pixel problems (a total failure, several coloring).

I really wanted to keep faith with Nikon, but it had to produce a camera with dust removal; current tests with the Nikon D60 does not show that it represents a more favorable level of D80. So I tended only to the excellent run-out model Canon EOS 400D, but why save at the wrong end? Certainly, this model will soon fall in price, but I intend to use the camera for several years, so I got slammed because it was heard in the run-up to a lot of praise. Current tests (no surreptitious which journals) encouraged me to take this step. I have purchased from your dealer to exchange the remainder on the spot, nothing against Amazon, etc., but the price was comparable, especially with accessories, and I can back on the ground – but everyone must decide for themselves.

The first test (always in comparison to the D80, which I have the only opportunity to compare far): great, crisp photos indoors, the flash brightens m. E. not quite so good at, but it is fully adequate. ISO had values up to 400 I tried so far, image noise as I can (almost) never-say great performance. Outdoor shots also work fine resolution, is striking especially the natural colors.

The large 3-inch display with high resolution is very well done, Live View is in my view for a “real” SLR photographers (who I still want to be) rather unnecessary, but is now probably slow for the new models standard. The EOS 450D with live view but consumes significantly more power with a battery can therefore make fewer images (with 50% flash used about 190 pictures) as per instructions. Moreover, the whole thing does not work (!) In the subject field modes, ie for the beginner, you can not use Live View for example, in fully automatic range.
But exactly what would have been desirable to see the photo in front of the trigger to be able, but there are the viewfinder. And is also very good. Various information will be provided in the viewfinder, which can be read in the manual. It should be noted the 9-point autofocus. What does that mean? Within nine points in the viewfinder light up, usually just a few. These are the ones who put the image in each area to “sharp”. One quickly realizes that it works not always and sometimes you’re better off manually it sharp. But this is precisely the challenge that it eventually leaves the Vollautomatikbereich to confront the other challenges. But in order to become a professional half-SLR, but certainly we need a few years – everyone started off small at.

The objective: a good week, I have been very successful, the camera only with the ES-S 18-55 mm lens: most of the photos are, but also with a stabilizer that does not mean that not blur photos! A tripod, I have already ordered, for a steady hand and stabilizer are good, but there are particular with the 55-250 mm lens, new challenges to guarantee a perfect image (such as night shots with longer exposure times). It should be noted also that the “little” prima lens enables wide-angle shots. Distortions that bother me, I have not found at present.

Now I also get the EF 55-250 mm lens replenished. Suitable for light camera anyway this is more of a lightweight, screwed will not have to contort your arm. The whole set still remains male-and frauentauglich! And the photos () has only Tagaufnahmen. Wow, for my purposes it is enough erstmal in quite a while. Great zooms are possible, because even here, a stabilizer is used, I have experienced so far in ambidextrous leadership of the camera does not shake. The focal range is remarkable. Professionals like the lens gentle smile, but if one has no HDTV, PAL is the television sometimes very good, d. H. You can certainly increase. If I wanted to have something better, I would have with a Nikon D300 also provides longer reach. With a more expensive lens at the beginning of my Indicative budget but would have been significantly exceeded. Therefore, the Canon 450D will not work though for beginners so interesting. A great device that lets you forget the relatively fast as his recent digicams.

The mere physical comparison of the 22.2 x 14.8 mm big shows an image sensor with the puny size of the available sensors, why here is a 12.2 million-pixel (effective) model exists only for the noise at higher ISO ranges is relevant.

Another reason which makes me happy is that I had been no dust problems, the removal of any remnants of the Dust off the camera also works, otherwise it is recommended for more stubborn cases, a commercially available blower or CAUTION in dusty environments. Pixel loss at various test photos I have not been able to find.

More can certainly be reported, but other and more competent reviewers are certainly still express themselves.

For me, a Kauftipp. A reference to the housing yet: they are no longer seems quite so kunststoffbillig because it was something noble installed, but it is a D80 or Comparable and especially expensive cameras do not quite hold a candle. But with the great grip on material and lower weight of this shortcoming is compensated very well.
